"Ja, Panik" was founded 2005 in Vienna/Austria, they released their first self titled longplayer in 2006.
The new album „The Taste and The Money“ is now available on Schoenwetter / ZickZack Records. For my money this is the best German-speaking album released recently.
Andreas Spechtl, the 23 years old singer and guitarist, quotes Bob Dylan and Falco but still claims authenticity. He brings forward the argument that it makes no difference where a line comes from as long as it's sensibly implemented in a appropriate context.
His band mates Stefan Pabst (Bass), Christian Treppo (Piano), Sebastian Janata (Drum) and Thomas Schleicher (Guitar) deliver a sound that's dainty and crisp like a tortilla.
Nonchalantly they mingle country style guitar solos, 80s Wave and classic guitar rock. They constantly change style and ambiance but still achieve a flawless sound.
The youngsters from "Ja, Panik" all together share the same flat. They recorded most of the songs in there that's what makes their sound so beautifully rough.
Download legally and for free their songs "Marathon" and "Ob ich das verdiene" from LastFM.
I would highly recommend you to buy this album.
